The watermelon is a nonclimacteric fruit and belongs to the group of pumpkin plants (Cucurbitaceae). From the botanical perspective the watermelon is a vegetable and is primarily traded as fruit because of its taste. Because of its hard skin, melons are also known as armored berries and it is assumed that the watermelon originally comes from Africa.
We exclusively trade a seedless variety of mini watermelons. The characteristic feature of this variety is a dark green striped skin with bright red flesh. The skin is very thin, which makes the proportion of flesh particularly high. This variety is extremely juicy and has a very sweet taste. Our mini watermelons are cultivated in Mersin.
